Need more qualified meetings without hiring and managing another SDR? LevelUp Leads and Cleverly both run done-for-you outbound across cold calling, email and LinkedIn, and both book meetings for your sales team. The real difference is where each company started and how it packages the work.

LevelUp Leads is calling-led: it sells SDR capacity in three tiers (Fractional SDR, Full-Service SDR and Growth), with calling, email and LinkedIn combined in its omnichannel packages. Cleverly was built on LinkedIn lead generation and cold email, and now sells those services individually alongside a cold calling service and an outsourced SDR retainer.

Key Differences

  • Starting point: LevelUp Leads is built around the phone, with email and LinkedIn layered on. Cleverly’s own FAQ says it was built on LinkedIn and cold email, and its outsourced SDR page calls LinkedIn its strongest channel.
  • Calling volume: LevelUp publishes 150+, 300+ or 700+ calls per business day by tier. Cleverly’s cold calling page describes one dedicated SDR making 200–300+ calls a day.
  • Pricing: Cleverly publishes lower entry points: LinkedIn lead generation from $397/month and an outsourced SDR retainer at $3,000/month. LevelUp packages start at $5,000.
  • Guarantee: Cleverly’s cold calling service promises 10–30 qualified sales calls a month or it replaces the SDR. LevelUp doesn’t publish a meeting guarantee.
  • Contract: Both start with roughly three months on paper. LevelUp asks for an initial 3-month commitment, then month-to-month. Cleverly’s Terms of Service describe a 90-day initial term, then 30-day auto-renewals.
  • Launch: LevelUp typically launches 7–10 days after onboarding. Cleverly’s cold calling page says its SDRs go live in about 2 weeks.

How Do the SDR Models Differ?

LevelUp Leads sells SDR capacity. You pick a tier, and that tier sets how many SDRs you get, how many calls and emails go out each business day, how many contacts are sourced each month and how many LinkedIn profiles run outreach. Each tier also comes as a calling-only package if you don’t want email or LinkedIn.

  • Fractional SDR: one fractional SDR, with check-in calls twice a month.
  • Full-Service SDR: one full-service SDR, with weekly check-ins.
  • Growth: two full-service SDRs, with weekly check-ins.

Cleverly sells by channel. You can buy LinkedIn lead generation, cold email or cold calling on its own, or you can buy the outsourced SDR retainer, which Cleverly says covers prospect research and list building, outreach across LinkedIn, email and calling, response handling and ongoing optimization. On the cold calling service, Cleverly recruits a dedicated SDR for your account, trains them on your scripts and personas, and has an SDR manager coach from call recordings.

The practical difference is how you scale. With LevelUp Leads, moving up a tier is how you add capacity, and the numbers you’re buying are on the packages page. With Cleverly, you add channels or callers; its cold calling FAQ says you can add more callers or extend campaign hours as your pipeline needs grow.

Both companies keep your team in control of the inputs. LevelUp Leads has you approve the audience, sample list, copy and script before outreach starts, and agrees qualification criteria with you before SDRs book meetings. Cleverly starts with a questionnaire and a kickoff call, and its FAQ says every message gets your review and approval before it goes live.

Which Company Is More Focused on Cold Calling?

LevelUp Leads. Calling is the lead channel in every LevelUp package, and the published volume goes higher: up to 700+ calls per business day on Growth. Cleverly runs a serious calling program, but on its own site it describes calling as the channel that speeds up high-priority accounts, while LinkedIn and email do most of the work.

That said, Cleverly’s calling page is detailed and worth reading. It describes a recruited SDR, AI role plays on your personas, mobile number enrichment, intent data fed into a parallel dialer, plus calendar and CRM integration. Its FAQ says you get call recordings and detailed reporting.

Calling setup LevelUp Leads Cleverly
Who calls 1 fractional, 1 full-service or 2 full-service SDRs 1 dedicated SDR per placement; more can be added
Dialer Parallel dialer Parallel/power dialer with intent data
Contact data Eight databases, validated by data researchers Waterfall enrichment and mobile number sourcing
Scripts and coaching Copywriter on every tier; ongoing sales training and AI coaching Custom scripts, AI role plays, SDR manager coaching
Caller location Confirm in proposal Primarily Egypt, per Cleverly’s FAQ
Guarantee Not published 10–30 qualified calls a month or SDR replaced

One detail to weigh is where the callers sit. Cleverly’s cold calling FAQ says its callers are primarily based in Egypt and trained to speak with an American accent. That can be a sensible cost trade-off, and Cleverly says it recruits experienced reps. If your buyers expect callers in a specific region, ask each provider where your SDR will be based and ask to hear recorded calls before you sign.

A Guarantee Is Only as Useful as Its Definition

Cleverly’s cold calling page promises 10–30 qualified sales calls every month, or it replaces the SDR. That is a real commitment and a point in Cleverly’s favor for buyers who want a floor. Before you rely on it, ask what counts as a qualified call, whether a no-show counts and whether the remedy is only a new SDR or also a credit. LevelUp Leads doesn’t publish a meeting guarantee; results vary by engagement, and qualification criteria are agreed with you before launch.

How Do Email and LinkedIn Outreach Compare?

Both companies run email and LinkedIn, so the channel list won’t separate them. The difference is depth and packaging.

On LinkedIn, Cleverly has the broader service. Its LinkedIn page covers four areas:

  • LinkedIn outreach to targeted prospects
  • Appointment setting by dedicated response handlers
  • Content and ghostwriting
  • Profile optimization

Its FAQ describes a 3-touch drip after a connection is accepted, plus a nurture campaign for connections who haven’t replied. One published case study describes managing 14 employee profiles for a single client. LevelUp Leads includes LinkedIn outreach in its omnichannel packages, on 1 profile for Fractional and Full-Service SDR and 2 profiles for Growth. LinkedIn content and ghostwriting sit outside those packages.

On email, the two are closer. LevelUp Leads includes 180+, 230+ or 460+ emails per business day by tier, with a GTM and email deliverability team handling domain warm-up, authentication, inbox monitoring and A/B testing. Cleverly’s cold email page lists inbox and domain setup, deliverability management, AI-powered personalization, intent signals and A/B testing, and says replies and booking are handled on its full-service option.

If LinkedIn is your main channel, or you want someone writing posts for your founder, Cleverly is built for that. If you want calling to carry the campaign with email and LinkedIn supporting it, LevelUp Leads is the closer fit. LevelUp’s email services can also be scoped on their own.

How Much SDR Capacity and Activity Do You Get?

LevelUp Leads publishes activity by tier:

LevelUp Leads omnichannel Fractional SDR Full-Service SDR Growth
Calls per business day 150+ 300+ 700+
Emails per business day 180+ 230+ 460+
Contacts sourced per month 1,000–1,500+ 1,500–2,000+ 3,000–4,000+
LinkedIn profiles 1 1 2
SDRs 1 (fractional) 1 full-service 2 full-service
Check-in calls 2x per month Weekly Weekly

Cleverly publishes activity per SDR on its calling page, but the figure appears three ways: 200–300+ calls a day in one place, 300+ in another and 200 dials a day in a third. Its call-system graphic also shows 100–300 emails a day. On the outcome side, Cleverly’s LinkedIn, email and SDR pages all target 10–30 qualified meetings a month, and its LinkedIn FAQ says most campaigns generate roughly 15–25 leads a month.

Don’t Compare Activity Numbers Until the Units Match

LevelUp Leads counts calls per business day across the whole tier. Cleverly counts calls or dials per SDR per day, and sells meeting ranges and “leads”, which are different units again. A lead in one proposal may be a positive reply; in another it may be an attended meeting. Ask each provider to put its proposal in the same terms: calls, conversations, meetings booked and meetings attended per month.

How Does LevelUp Leads Pricing Compare to Cleverly?

Cleverly is cheaper to start. LevelUp Leads is priced as a bundled SDR function rather than a single channel, so the two price lists measure different things.

Pricing detail LevelUp Leads Cleverly
Lowest published price $5,000 (lead generation packages) $397/month (LinkedIn lead generation)
SDR / omnichannel Custom per tier, from $5,000 $3,000/month outsourced SDR retainer
LinkedIn only Separate LinkedIn services; price by quote $397–$997/month; team discounts at 3+ users
Cold email only Separate email services; price by quote Flat retainer or pay-per-lead; amounts not listed
Cold calling only From $5,000/month Shown as an image; ROI table cites a $4,000 figure
Setup fee No onboarding charge Mentioned in Terms of Service; sometimes waived
When billing starts When the first campaign launches Fees due when services commence

Cleverly’s Terms of Service note that if a setup fee was waived by promotion and you cancel before the initial term ends, you become liable for it. Ask whether a setup fee applies to your plan. See LevelUp Leads packages for the current tiers.

Do Not Compare on Headline Price Alone

A $397 LinkedIn plan and a $5,000 omnichannel SDR package aren’t the same purchase. Compare what’s actually in scope: how many SDR hours, how many calls and emails, whether replies are handled for you, who builds the lists and how many channels run at once. Then divide by the qualified meetings you expect. The outbound ROI calculator is a quick way to do that math with your own deal size and close rate.

What Are the Contract Terms?

On paper, the two are closer than most buyers expect. LevelUp Leads asks for an initial 3-month commitment, then goes month-to-month, with prepaid monthly billing.

Cleverly’s site gives two answers. The cold email pricing section says month-to-month with no contracts. The Terms of Service, last revised November 26, 2025, set out a longer structure:

Contract term LevelUp Leads Cleverly (Terms of Service)
Initial term 3 months 90 days from delivery of campaign deliverables
After the initial term Month-to-month Auto-renews every 30 days
Cancellation notice Confirm in proposal Email notice at least 10 days before term ends
Refunds Confirm in proposal Payments non-refundable
Downgrades Move between tiers Only after the initial term, with 10 days’ notice
Data on exit Confirm in proposal Deleted at term end unless you pay $99/month to retain it

If month-to-month from day one matters to you, Cleverly’s cold email offer may give you that, but get it in your order form. For every other Cleverly service, plan on roughly the same first quarter you’d commit to with LevelUp Leads, and export your campaign data before you cancel.

Which Company Is the Better Fit for Your Team?

Cleverly’s case studies lean toward founders, consultants, agencies and SaaS teams using LinkedIn and email, and its pricing makes it easy for a small team to start. LevelUp Leads works with B2B companies that already have closers but not enough pipeline, across industries like software, MSPs, healthcare services, manufacturing, financial services and telecom, and its case studies are mostly calling-led.

Choose LevelUp Leads If…

  • Cold calling is the channel you expect to carry the campaign.
  • You want published capacity before a sales call: calls, emails, contacts and LinkedIn profiles per tier.
  • You need more volume than one SDR can produce, up to two full-service SDRs on Growth.
  • You want calling, email and LinkedIn run as one coordinated campaign in a single package.
  • You want to launch in 7–10 days with no onboarding charge and billing that starts at launch.

  • You’d like to test cold email on a pay-per-lead basis.
  • You want a self-serve client dashboard with CRM integration through Zapier.

  4. What’s the minimum term, and how much notice do I need to cancel?
  5. Is there a setup fee, and when does billing start?

Cleverly’s cold calling FAQ says its callers are primarily based in Egypt. The company says it recruits experienced reps and trains them to speak with an American accent.
